“I only wish I’d thought of it first” ~ Jerry Springer

“The most arresting, HILARIOUS AND ORIGINAL piece of MODERN MUSICAL THEATRE ever to be seen.” ~ Metro, UK

“Jerry! Jerry! JERRY!”

From its phenomenal success in London and New York, Jerry Springer: The Opera is finally coming to Northern California. Based on Springer’s lurid television talk show that ran for an unbelievable 28 seasons, this smash-hit production combines the highest form of art and the lowest form of pop culture. Then, Jerry Springer: The Opera made history by winning all four Best Musical Awards in London.

Passionate Arias, Soaring Ballads, and…Jerry Springer!?

“The best f**cking thing I have ever seen.” ~ Liam Gallagher, frontman of the band Oasis

While the studio audience cheers, a parade of bickering guests fight and curse, until violence breaks out and Jerry must face his trickiest guest ever, the devil himself. Deeply in tune with the chaos and unrestrained id of our times, Jerry Springer: The Opera is a gleefully profane musical mockery by Richard Thomas (Music, Book, Lyrics) and Stewart Lee (Book, Additional Lyrics.)

An Outrageous Celebration of Our National Ritual of Public Humiliation and Redemption

“The most explosive theatrical event for years, and the biggest thrill for decades.” ~ the Observer

“An IRRESISTIBLY FUNNY masterpiece… utterly hilarious ENTERTAINMENT.” – The Sunday Times

In turns hilarious and heart-breaking, this raunchy, high-energy production follows Jerry Springer to the afterlife and beyond. Featuring fetishists, wannabe strippers and dancing Klansmen, this profane, cheeky musical has a sung-through score that ranges from pop and classical to contemporary opera. Just remember, it ain’t over till the fat lady says you’re sleeping with your brother’s sister’s twin. It’s got comedy and tragedy, it’s got violence and vicious vocals, and it’s got America’s “favorite” talk show host suffering the worst day of his career.

WARNING: This show is strictly for adult audiences. You will be shocked, you will most likely be offended, but you will definitely laugh your a$$ off. Contains graphic language, adult situations and other things you would see on Jerry’s show… and more!
