Sound of Music The Sing Along Sensation
Calling all nuns, goat herders, hills and alps, baronesses, and brown paper packages tied up with string: this event is destined to be one of your favorite things! Get ready to yodel, 3Believers, because this is your chance to sing-along to the most successful movie musical of all time. This is not just a chance to see the classic movie on the big screen in magnificent Technicolor; it’s a major audience participation event with subtitles for all the songs.
Your journey to Austria begins when you enter the theatre and see hundreds of fans, just like you, dressed in costumes from the movie. Our host will lead you in your do-re-mi’s to get you warmed up for singing and show you how to use all the props in your Fun Pack. Then it’s time to sing along with Julie…wave your Edelweiss…dance in the gazebo with Liesl…“roff” at Rolf…and of course, snuggle up with your little Gretel or Kurt and join in earnest choruses of “My Favorite Things.”
Costumes Required!
Okay, not required but strongly encouraged! Keep it simple with homemade shirts for your group that read “do”, “re”, “mi”, etc, or go all out and make outfits from your curtains! Want to be a true Retro Dome Diva? Get creative and do something completely original: we’ve had fans who’ve paid tribute to the boo-tiful Baroness, lots of flying nuns, and even a costume that featured ALL the favorite things from the movie!

About Our Alongs
Back in 2009 when we hosted our first “along”, we had no idea we would go on to present hundreds of sing-along and quote-along events delighting tens of thousands of people throughout the state. Now that we have a theater to program 365 days a year, we have plenty of opportunities to book the best in interactive entertainment!
Event Highlights
Our interactive experiences begin with a pre-show led by our quirky and witty emcee who welcomes our enthusiastic audiences and introduces the interactive elements of each Sing-Along, Quote-Along or Special Event Experience. A Fun Pack is included as part of admission to enhance the participation experience. And, additional in-movie antics with even more giveaways and props are frequently part of the fun.
Pre-Show
The pre-show starts at the published event time; no need to arrive any earlier than you normally would to get great food and drinks from our café, use the restrooms, and find your seats – and since seats are reserved in advance, you’ll save even more time. During the pre-show, our host will explain all the fun planned for the event including the fun pack included with your admission price, the on-screen lyrics (for sing-alongs), and other in-movie antics you can look forward to.
Costumes Strongly Encouraged!
Dressing up in a costume from the movie, or that ties in creatively, is always encouraged! We may even bring you up to showcase your costume as part of the pre-show festivities…and sometimes we even have costume contests for terrific prizes.
